The Ozark Trail Hanging Tent Gazebo

If you are wondering exactly what an ozark trail hanging tent gazebo is and what it is for, then prepare to be fully satisfied by the upcoming explanation. Basically it’s a garden gazebo tent, but not the standard type that springs to mind such as the one used at the church social or your baby cousins christening. Nor is it the same old pergola type structure you associate with summer. It is similar to to a tent and gazebo combined, or one might describe it as a tent with full height vertical walls.

As the floor is built in so the complete tent is all in one unit, it does away with inner and outer tents, rain flys,  and groundsheets. This means there is less to lose, a definite plus when camping out.  It also has the added benefit of having a decent head height enabling a person of 6 feet tall to stand up in it. It needs to be used with a simply constructed frame which is purchased separately. The frame can then be popped up and the tent then attached to it quite simply.

Sleeping 5 people comfortably the tent is also fully weatherproofed.  As such it is a real asset to any night spent at a festival or simply as an additional temporary garden structure for guests or visiting teenagers to hang out and have some of there own space or sleep over with the assurance they will be warm and dry.

It will fit nicely into most garden decor as it is 10 feet by 10 feet square meaning a roomy area. With the added head height this means it is much more practical for socialising then your standard tent where most people cannot stand up fully. It also is a good shelter from the suns dangerous UV rays and a refuge from all the bugs than can be so annoying, particularly as dusk falls and they are drawn to the evening lights.

The Ozark trail hanging tent gazebo is a good investment if that is the kind of gazebo tent you are looking for to display on any outdoor areas or just to take away when you go camping.

I discovered the Ozark Trail hanging tent from Walmart is no longer available. However, a new hanging tent is now available! This “new” tent has several design differences however. This one has a full fabric top. Also, it has two doors front and back allowing easy enter and exit enabling you two “stack” two or more tents together for multi-rooms (great for family camping). It hasmore pouches on the inside for storage and more ties on the inside &out for hanging towels, clothes etc and places for wind ties. I took this tent to Big Sur over the 2012 New Year’ weekend and set it up for the first time in less than 10 minutes – seriously – the other guys there had never seen anything like it and immediately they all wanted one too! I am sure I can do it faster next time because I know exactly what to do. We nicknamed it the “Taj Mahal” because it was so big – and it really is! It will change the way you camp. It is also a great beginners tent. No stress! I am 6’2″ and I could not reach the ceiling! How many other camping tents can you say that about? It is a light material type tent, designed for warmer weather, but the temperature dropped down to 40 degrees two of the three nights and I slept in it on a queen size air mattress with a Mr. Heater propane heater – I NEVER got cold – it was fine (almost hot with the heater on) in this tent every night – it was also pretty windy (20 mph gusts) two of the days, and I NEVER had a problem because we staked it to the ground according to the instructions. I have hunted and camped for 30 years and I have not been as proud of a purchase such as this in a long time. I have told all of my friends about this tent and they are getting one for themselves as we speak!
You can find it by going to amazon.com and typing in standing room 100 in the search bar or by going to standingroomtents.com. Happy Camping!
